Gregory Wait on December 13, 2011 at 7:30 pm. Audition materials are

These auditions are for boys age 7 to 10 years old with unchanged (treble) voices. Ragazzi offers a complete music education program, with theory, vocal and choral training, dance and performance opportunities. The chorus sings with other leading groups and sings the National Anthem at a Giants game in the spring. Our 2011 Tour? Cuba!!!
The first rehearsal is an open rehearsal; just come, sing through the repertoire, and sign up for an audition!
Fall repertoire includes two sets with the Santa Rosa Symphony: Bach and Handel 1707; and the Brahms Requiem. The Spring concert set includes music by Michael Praetorius and Samuel Scheidt, accompanied by period brass and strings.
No audition required. We only have a vocal placement informal audition.
Rehearsals start on August 31 and are held every Wednesday from 7 to 9:30 at Springbrook Masonic Temple, 101 Temple Way, Vallejo. www.vallejochoral.org

Chapel College Men and Boys Ensemble seeks talented singers ages 8-18 for our after-school training program and Evensong choir. Boys with unchanged voices may audition to be Choristers. Teenagers are considered for Choral Scholar positions and sing side-by-side with some of the best professional singers in the Bay Area. Auditions by appointment.
2011-2012 season will include orchestral/choral concerts, opera scenes and a fully or semi-staged production of Dido and Aeneas.

Please bring an aria or art song and a baroque aria if interested in a role in Dido.

Auditions are done as a group. Includes singing scales and vocal exercises, tonal memory, quality of sound, choral/any music experience, placement in appropriate section. Very informal atmosphere.
