Call for Choral Singers! Bay Area Classical Harmonies

Bay Area Classical Harmonies (BACH) is pleased to announce our choral singer auditions for spring 2017. We are seeking intermediate to advanced chorus members with pleasant singing voices and significant choral experience.

AUDITIONS:

Auditions will be held on Sunday, March 5th from 1-4pm and Tuesday, March 7th from 7-9:30PM at 317 Washington Street in Downtown Oakland. Auditions will last 15 minutes and consist of vocal range exercises, sight-reading, and singing two contrasting a cappella pieces of your choosing.

Looking for a trombonist for an established, fun, brass quintet

Brassavola is an established brass quintet that is looking for a trombonist. We rehearse in Oakland near Lake Merritt, and perform for 4-6 church services per year (usually Christmas and Easter for pay, plus 3 services as in-kind payment for our rehearsal space), plus one annual recital. We rehearse 2-3 times a month on Monday evenings. We are dedicated amateurs, although sometimes we get paid for playing.

Chromatica's anniversary concerts

Chromatica was founded 5 years ago. very broad repertoire from 12th century (Von Bingen) through opera, Brahms lieder, masses (Cherubini, Salieri) to contemporary composers (Ticheli, Lauridsen, McDowall), even the theme from the Pink Panther! we sing in Latin, German, French, Italian (and even English). fabulous director with strong opera background (David Huff). Outstanding accompanist (Julie Rieth). we rehearse at the Athenian School, Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Danville every Monday at 6.45 pm.
