Metamorphosis: a collaboration with Balam Dance Theatre

Presented by Voices of Music

Join us for a fabulous evening with music and dance from the baroque, as well as Chinese music and a world premiere of "Wu Song and the Tiger" composed by Hanneke van Proosdij with new choreography by Carlos Fittante. This new work  features pipa player Yihan Chen, Kaili Chen as Wu Song, Carlos Fittante as the bartender and the tiger, Robin Gilbert as Goddess of the Lake, as well as the musicians of Voices of Music.

Wu Song is a legendary hero from the 13th century and this tale addresses the conflict between human and wildlife sharing the same habitat. We are bringing this story adapted in fusion style drawing on Chinese, Balinese and European cultures.
