Join the San Jose Metropolitan Band in welcoming the holiday season! Our Around the World concert will feature a narrated version of The Night Before Christmas. Our holiday music from around the world will include Russian Christmas Music (Alfred Reed), Rhapsody for Hanukkah (Stephen Bulla), Chasing Sunlight (Cait Nishimura), In the Bleak Midwinter (Gustav Holst), The Sussex Mummers’ Christmas Carol (Percy Grainger) and Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company (John Philip Sousa). You’ll have to join us to discover how the Sousa piece actually contains holiday music! In addition, our chamber music group will return to perform And the Swallow (Caroline Shaw). The concert is on Sunday, December 3rd at 3:00pm at the Hammer Theatre, which is located at Paseo de San Antonio and Third Street in downtown San Jose. You don’t want to miss this festive concert!
