Originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, award-winning guitarist Leonardo Garcia has performed as a soloist in North America, South America, and Europe. In addition to his solo performances, Garcia has also collaborated with other world-class musicians such as violinist Ian Swensen and guitarist Marc Teicholz.
Upon moving to Northern California, Garcia founded KinderGuitar, a music education program dedicated to educating very young children through the guitar. As an active educator, Garcia currently works with over 80 children and their families to enrich their lives with music. When he isn't teaching, performing, or practicing, Garcia enjoys cooking, hiking, and reading with his wife, Maya, and their sons, Max and Charlie.
