Lessons are structured to support student's goals while offering some quick results and some long-term concepts with each visit. Students are expected to come with curiosity and enthusiasm for making music together. Practice is always encouraged, but no one is ever punished for lack of practice. We work from where s/he is that day and build from there. Improvement will come from learning study/practice skills that make practice productive and interesting. This works great for adult beginners as well as over-achiever children. Music should always be a joy first, not a task, even though sometimes it takes time and hard work to learn difficult skills. My job is to help each student make their life more full and expressive.
