Ms. Flemming is whole-heartedly dedicated to the art of music teaching, working with students of all ages, discovering their unique talents, and having fun with them at the piano!
Born in Los Angeles, CA, Kathleen Flemming began her formal piano study at age seven, and in a short time was notating by ear the music she heard on the radio and TV.
Pursuing study in classical piano, Ms. Flemming's teachers include Salome Arkatov, Sister Dolores Cecile Schembri and Joanna Graudan, who actually entertained Rachmaninoff in her home! From all of these teachers Ms. Flemming grew in her passion for piano study and performance, gaining added insight into a deeper, richer tone at the piano.
Since 1972, many of Ms. Flemming's students have earned honors and Convention performance in the Certificate of Merit program sponsored by MTAC.
In our local area's piano competition, four of Ms. Flemming's students earned 1st place awards in the past eight years.
