Jill Heinke, a young, dynamic chamber musician and music educator, is making her mark on the California music landscape.
While studying at UC Santa Barbara, Ms. Heinke performed as principal flute with the UCSB Orchestra, Musica Antigua, and the New Music Ensemble while participating in numerous chamber ensembles. While at UCSB, Ms. Heinke earned the Excellence-at-Entrance Award, a Women's Alumni Association Scholarship, and the Loren Toder Scholarship Award.
Ms. Heinke was selected as a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar for the 2004-2005 school year with a full scholarship to the Royal College of Music, London. She earned her Postgraduate Diploma in flute performance under the tutelage of Susan Milan.
Ms. Heinke completed her Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2006, where she studied on scholarship with principal flute of the San Francisco Symphony, Tim Day.
