Born in Ohio, I began singing in High School. I began with musical-theatre as well as concert work. I have also had great success in Opera. As a performer I can move easily between the classical and musical-theatre worlds.
I come from a long line of teachers - teaching singing has always been a passion of mine. I am fascinated with helping singers reach their full potential and have made that my life's work.
In lessons we work to smooth out register transitions, gaining evenness and power throughout the voice. Breath powered by an efficient use of the body sent through a relaxed throat yields a tone which is clear and focused yet warm and powerful. My teaching is clear and free of mumbo-jumbo.
As I teacher I believe the lesson should be a supportive environment in which the student feels safe and free to step from the comfortable to the new.
