An East Coast transplant, David Dieni has performed music from classical to jazz, rock and theater for over twenty five years.
He served as principal percussionist with the Napa Symphony and assistant principal with both the Sacramento Philharmonic and Stockton Symphony. He’s currently percussionist with the California Pops Orchestra and timpanist with the Golden Gate Park Band.He has been fortunate to perform with the likes of Luciano Pavarotti, Dave Brubeck, Carol Channing and Judy Collins.As a theater drummer, recent shows include La Cage Aux Folles with Broadway By The Bay, Evita and Sunset Boulevard with Contra Costa Musical Theatre, Jacques Brel at the Marin Theatre Company, Into The Woods at CTA Crossroads Theatre and Ruthless the Musical with the California Cabaret.In 2011, Mr. Dieni was part of a team that created a new, revised edition of George Stone’s seminal work, Accents and Rebounds.Visit David and the SF Drum School at http://www.daviddieni.com/
