Since its inception 16 years ago, Music@Menlo has been one of the country’s most comprehensive chamber-music programs, offering a roster of top-tier musicians performing in a series of themed mainstage concerts as well as offering workshops, master classes, and informal performances. In addition, there are renowned musicologists delivering lectures and demonstrations that place the festival’s programs in historical and social context. This year’s theme: “Creative Capitals.” Read David Bratman’s review of the “Paris” concert here.
The bounty of opportunities for listening and learning is too much for most mortals to take in, but festival photographer Geoff Sheil has captured some representative moments that we’re delighted to share with you here. The festival runs through Aug. 4, with tickets selling briskly for the remaining events. Check the Music@Menlo site for details
